Extra safe composition
, a serum free formulation with no animal compound:
| |
• nutritive solution with carbon hydrates, metabolic precursors, minerals, vitamins,
hepes buffer, phenol red
| |
• and antibiotics: streptomycin, penicillin, amphotericin B.
, a serum free formulation with no dextran:
| |
• nutritive solution with poloxamer.
Outstanding results:
Outcome of keratoplasty for the recipient, is linked to endothelial cells (EC) density.
saves additional 42% of EC's compared to serum supplemented medium (serum medium)*.
Before De-swelling
Need for qualified grafts shall be fulfilled
saves additional 40% graft compared to serum supplemented medium (serum medium)*.
After De-swelling
De-swelling is an important issue
guarantees the right thickness and preserves the endothelium*.
How to use /
One NEST'IN vial is used to transport the cornea from the excision site to the eyebank.
After initial inspection, the graft is placed in a new NEST'IN vial for 21 days.
Two days before keratoplasty, the graft is placed in NEST'OUT for de-swelling and transportation.
How to store /
Before use:
| |
• storage of the media at - 20°C for 18 months or at + 4°C for 12 months.
| |
• transport, at ambient temperature up to 25°C, alternatively at controlled temperature between + 2°C to + 8°C.
With the graft:
| |
• optimum storage temperature: + 31°C.
| |
• transport before and after organ culture at ambient temperature up to 25°C (1 day) alternatively at controlled temperature between + 2°C to + 8°C (2 to 3 days).
Improved manipulation
| |
• The graft can be stored in NEST'IN without any suture (no contamination, no epithelial cells proliferation).
| |
• The graft endothelium can be visualized after de-swelling without using osmotic dilation, NEST'OUT facilitates the EC's count operation.
| |

| |
• A security seal guarantees the inviolability instead of a crimp cap.
| |
• Storage at + 4°C before use saves time for thawing and reaching use temperature: avoiding thermal stress between solution and graft is a key success factor.
Economical benefits
Increased productivity of qualified grafts boosts savings for the eye bank.
